Capitol Kolsch
This lager like ale is modeled after the official beer of Köln, Germany. Kolsch is delicate and refreshing with a slight fruitiness and supportive, yet unobtrusive hop bitterness 4.8% ABV

Amber Waves
2006 Silver Medal, 2005 Gold Medal GABF
A medium bodied west coast style amber ale. This is aggressively hopped with Perle and Cascade hops, and is held together by its sweet malty center. 5.3% ABV

Sour Puss This ale was made in the Flemish sour red ale mold. In addition to regular brewing yeast, saccharomyces, we also added the wild yeasts brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus to produce an intentional sour flavor to the beer. It has a light body due to the wild yeast metabolizing nearly all of the fermentable sugars. We also added 360 pounds of tart cherries to accentuate the sourness in this unique ale. Irish Red Ale
Just in time for St. Patrick’s day, this Irish style red ale definitely has a big malt profile. This beer is the antithesis of our Amber Waves ale. It has a low hop bitterness and aroma, this allows the caramel malt flavors to dominate. It has a medium body, and is very easy going down. 5.2%ABV

This beer is a Trippel-Double and was made to commemorate Capitol City Brewing Company’s 10 year anniversary at the Shirlington location. The Belgian Tripel/Double Ipa is a hybrid style that has been brewed by only a couple of Belgian breweries. We brewed a medium bodied Tripel, but instead of using boring European hops, we used American hops more toward the end of the boil to create more citrus and floral hop flavor and aroma as opposed to bitterness. 8.5% ABV
